As we head into the chilly and windy last week of October, I wanted to take a deeper look at some of the Alien titles in my game collection. It’s themes of body horror, isolation, cosmic terror and corporate malignancy have made it a mainstay of the science fiction since it’s debut in 1979, easily adapted to a wide variety of tabletop board games. These range from deck builders, to dungeon crawlers and full blown RPGs, all emphasizing different elements of the universe in their own unique ways.

Despite all the ways it can unsettle and unnerve, this rich and terrifying world keeps me coming back in so many different formats. Look for more in-depth looks at the following games over the coming days:

Alien- The Roleplaying Game by Free League Publishing

Legendary Encounters: An Alien Deckbuilding Game by Upper Deck

Aliens: Another Glorious Day in the Corps by Gale Force Nine

Alien: Fate of the Nostromo by Ravensburger

I can’t lie to you about your chances but you have my sympathies.
